Georgia fishing licenses are honored on the boundary waters. If you want to fish the small
streams on the South Carolina side you will need a South Carolina fishing license.

Description:
One of the more popular TU Cohutta camping trips, the Chattooga River is a designated ‘Wild & Scenic River’. The section around Burrell’s Ford is heavily stocked and easily accessible. In addition to the Burrell’s Ford area, the section upriver from Highway 28 at Russell Bridge is
designated Delayed Harvest and the West Fork of the Chattooga is regularly stocked during the season. For the wild &/or native trout enthusiast a little hiking can reap big rewards, as well as a little homework with google or topographic maps.
