Come join the regular guy/gal chapter

Meet new friends, conserve some streams, and of course…fish!

If you thought that you wanted to hone your fishing skills, learn more about the streams in the North Georgia Mountains, do some camping and help improve our local streams, then perhaps you should check us out. We are a very active chapter that enjoys getting out and about.

March Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker for the March meeting will be Chris Scalley with River Through Atlanta Chattahoochee River Guide Service. Chris started RTA in 1994 after taking his first guided drift boat trip a few years earlier in the western states. He has fished in New Zealand, Austria, Ireland, Pennsylvania and many Rocky Mountain streams out west. He was recognized as a finalist by Field and Stream in 2007 in the Heroes of Conservation award category. He has spent many hours collecting and categorizing the aquatic insects and other invertebrates on the Chattahoochee Tailwater. Through RTA he has been a consistent supporter of Trout Unlimited with donated guided trips to our Chapter and for the Georgia Councils Dream Trip sweepstakes. He is known to many of us and we are very happy to have him back to speak to our chapter again.

More details about River Through Atlanta and Chris can be found on their website, riverthroughatlanta.com, as well as details to book a trip with them.

Trout Unlimited’s Mission

WE MAKE FISHING BETTER.

Trout Unlimited’s mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. The Cohutta Chapter is one of 12 TU Chapters in Georgia.

By the next generation, Trout Unlimited will ensure that robust populations of native and wild coldwater fish once again thrive within their North American range, so that our children can enjoy healthy fisheries in their home water.
